San Jose State University
With multiple departments sharing common information, San Jose State University recognized the advantages of having an enterprise system for information management. They had several departmental “point” solutions in place, which did not communicate with each other, and managing separate content repositories was expensive and no longer feasible. Finance and Student Services spearheaded the initial project and the university now has an enterprise system, fully integrated with their PeopleSoft student information system. For over two decades, various departments throughout UC Davis have attempted to solve the challenge of capturing and moving information to knowledge workers on a timely basis. Disparate document imaging systems interspersed with documents stored in banker’s boxes, filing cabinets and basements presented an administrative challenge. UC Davis selected ImageSource after an exhaustive four year search to find a product and integration expert that could meet their long term needs.
